Twenty-five years. Thirty. I’m not exactly sure when I stepped foot into and hunted something – whitetails or spring gobblers – from a ground blind for the first time. But, and while I hate to use a cliché, it certainly was a game-changer for me, along with the tens of thousands of other hunters, wildlife photographers, and eight-year-old fort-builders who currently own and use these effective outdoor tools.
Not one to be left out in the cold, per se, the folks at TideWe offer a variety of innovative hunting blinds, including their newest, the OptiVue 360. Now I’ve hunted out of plenty of ground blinds over the past two decades. Some were well-designed, effective, relatively lightweight, and extremely user-friendly. Others? Not so much, and that for any number of reasons. Recently, I had the opportunity to test-drive TideWe’s OptiVue 360, walking away from the evaluation/photo shoot quite pleased on several levels. Here’s my personal take.
First Things First
The first thing you’ll notice about the OptiVue 360, henceforth shortened to O360, upon setting it up is the sheer size of the blind. On the inside, she’s 88 inches wide hub-to-hub – That’s a footprint of over 53 square feet! – and 77.5 inches tall. I’m 6’3” tall, and I had no trouble at all with overhead clearance, meaning I can get up, fully stand, and stretch without having to exit the blind. I have camping tents that aren’t nearly this big. To be honest and in the off-season, I’m planning to use the blind to store my Craftsman LT1000 riding lawnmower, itself measuring a scant 66 inches front to back. So there’s year-round use out of the O360!
But I’m getting a little ahead of myself. Out of the box, the O360 comes in a heavy duty PVC storage/carry bag with a full zipper and two shoulder straps, which – and I experimented with this – can be used to transport the blind backpack style. If I were king, I’d build the straps padded and adjustable, and play up the concept of a backpack blind; however, as is, she carries just fine for short distances, especially given she weighs just 30 pounds. Inside the bag are eight 8-inch metal ‘L’ stakes and four adjustable tie-downs, all in their own small storage pouch.
Setting up the O360 was a cinch, done start to finish in approximately 30 seconds. Top/roof first followed by all four sides. Nylon pull handles attached to heavy duty eyebolts that run through the blind and bolt to metal hubs on the inside make ‘popping’ the roof and walls out quick and easy. Each hub serves as the junction for four 11mm fiberglass poles that radiate out from the center to the corners of each wall, providing a very strong frame for the structure.
The O360 comes in an almost universally-fitting camouflage pattern called NEXT G2. With its mix of greys, whites, blacks, and browns highlighted with a splash of green oak leaves, the NEXT G2 pattern should blend nicely from New England to northern California and south to Texas.
The OptiVue’s Top Three (IMHO)
After setting up the O360, doing a walk-around 360, and spending some inside working through half a dozen hunting ‘scenarios,’ I landed on three innovative characteristics that I feel are prime points.
Full door
Unlike other ground blinds that provide access to the interior via a single vertical zipper on one of the corners, top to bottom – NOTE: Entry I have always found troublesome, especially while wearing a turkey vest or pack, or when hunting solo and trying to put gear in or take gear out of the blind interior – the O360 features a full door. That is, a zipper goes from bottom to top on one corner and then full length along the top allowing one entire panel to be swung 90 degrees, thus opening a 70 square inch doorway. Wearing a turkey vest? No worries. Packing a rifle and a chair? Not a problem. Hunting buddy in a wheelchair? With this ‘full door access,’ the O360 is perfect for those mentoring the physically challenged or those with limited mobility.
Fully adjustable SILENT slide windows
I’ve always cringed whenever I had to adjust the windows on earlier blinds while trying to remain quiet. Zippers are loud. Hook-and-loop fasteners are loud. With the O360, TideWe addresses this issue with an innovative silent sliding adjustment system on both the see-through windows and the black-out panels. Small C-shaped clips attached to the ends of both windows and panels with elastic use friction to securely ‘grab’ yet slide smoothly up and down along corresponding tracks. Both windows and panels are fully adjustable with several inches of independent travel at either end. All up. All down. Left up and right down. The O360 offers an infinite number of viewing variations depending upon the hunter, the season, the weapon of choice, and the situation.
Woven See-Through Mesh and 600D Construction
In the past, I’ve always had trouble with the see-through mesh used on most ground blinds. It seemed to me a fragile sort of material; ripping, tearing, generally not lasting very long, and often in need of replacement. Too, I’ve often found the lightweight mesh used on many blinds to be transparent; that is, seeing to the outside is as easy as your quarry, be it whitetails or turkeys, seeing to the interior of the blind. Here again, TideWe addresses both concerns, thanks to the use of a high-strength see-through woven mesh on the windows, essentially creating a one-way viewing situation in which the hunter can see out, but the target can’t see in. Too, the mesh is somewhat stiff in comparison to the lightweight material, thus aiding in keeping the mesh in position from the hunt’s start to finish.
Tough? While other ground blinds use a lesser weight, e.g. 150 to 300 Denier, polyester in their construction, the O360’s outer shell is made of 600 Denier material, resulting in a blind unmatched in terms of ruggedness and durability. Surprisingly, this strength doesn’t come with a tremendous increase in weight, thus keeping the O360 reasonably portable
The Rest of the Story
While these are, to me, three of the O360’s biggest attributes, the blind isn’t without its additional positives. Going through my notes, I’ve listed the following. Mind you, some of these I see as conveniences; however, many of the elements of the O360 I see as being of excellent design. Rather, there was some real thought put into this by people who actually do hunt and have spent a good deal of time in a ground blind.
Fiberglass rod reinforcements – These are additional strips of heavy polyester material sewn underneath the upper fiberglass support rods. This is a high stress area, one likely to be compromised over a period of time, and this reinforcing helps prevent this. Excellent move!
Camo/stubble straps – Okay, so turkeys might not care, but deer hunting from a ground blind can greatly improve if/when brush is added to the blind, thus blending it into the natural environment. The O360 features two rows of stubble (brush) straps, one above the windows and one below, to facilitate this blending process. AND they’re loose enough so fighting to get vegetation, e.g. cedar boughs, into the straps isn’t necessary.
Three-inch rain fly w/ magnets – A three-inch wide ‘rain fly,’ I’ll call it, overtop the upper portion of the full door zipper, as well as the double stitched seams around the top of the blind held down with strong magnets helps keep moisture out of these vulnerable areas.
Binder strap on the carry bag – True, this may seem insignificant, but to me an adjustable binder strap around the collapsed blind that holds it tight and cinches it down is a nice touch. It’s on the O360.
G-clips on windows/D-ring on the door – In keeping with the ‘silent’ nature of the O360, users will find no-noise G-clips above each of the black-out windows meant to secure them in the raised position, as well as larger G-clips and D-rings used to hold the door closed without having to zip/unzip when entering/exiting the blind. Another great asset.
Namesake 360 degree viewing – Simply put, the O360 offers unparalleled visibility from the interior, while keep you totally concealed from your quarry.
Room to Roam – If you love to mentor new and/or young hunters like I do, then the O360 is the ground blind for you. With over 50 square feet of interior space, there’s plenty of room for three or four hunters or observers, along with hunting implements, folding chairs, backpacks, and, if it’s cold, a small propane heater. Solo hunter? The O360 provides ample room not only for you and your gear, but, if you’re a hungry man like me, a single burner butane stove and all the fixings for breakfast. What’s that? Worried the whitetails will smell your cooking? Well, folks, there’s nothing that doesn’t like the smell of frying bacon!

Turkey vests have greatly changed since I started turkey hunting in the early 2000s. When I was finally old enough in Minnesota, it used to be 12 years old, to start hunting turkeys; my dad and I got matching vests from our local Walmart, and man, was I pumped. There were few pockets, but I thought,"Now I am a real turkey hunter!" Now, after looking over both of the models available from TideWe, I can see that the advancement of vests has come a long way in the last 20 years.
This is my grandpa's gun for hunting turkeys. At that time, there were few pockets and now turkey vests have changed greatly.
TideWe offers two different model vests: one having a removable kickstand and one that does not. Both are great for certain scenarios while in the spring turkey woods. Let's start with the Kickstand incorporated model.
Tidewe Turkey Vest with a Kickstand
Picture yourself running and gunning through the woods or field, and then out of the blue, a bird gobbles close. It would be best if you scrambled to find a spot to set up, but there aren't any large trees to lean against. Problem solved with the foldable Kickstand in the back of your vest. Flip it out and adjust it to your desired height, and you have a comfortably supported backrest ready to wait out the approaching bird. It's a great option if you hunt the type of terrain that doesn't offer bigger trees or other structures that allow you to lean against for support. It's also very durable as the legs support my 6'3" and 300lb frame. At first, I was a little skeptical because of my size, but those worries quickly disappeared. Another nice aspect is that if you take the vest off, you can deploy the Kickstand, which will stay upright without falling over into a ball.
This is a picture of Tidewe Turkey Vest with Kickstand, which allows you to lean against for support if there is no big trees or other structures in the hunting area.
Tidewe Turkey Vest without Kickstand
Now what about the vest that doesn't have the kickstand capabilities? Why would someone use this over the other? Well, here in Wisconsin, I primarily hunt hardwoods, timber, and some field edges. I never worry about a lack of large trees to sit next to; therefore, the non-kickstand version works better for me. I also like that this version is a little lighter. Having the least weight you can while running and gunning is just that much more of an advantage against those weary gobblers.
This is the non-Kickstand version, which is lighter. That is a great advantage against weary gobblers.
Turkey Vest Options
These vests have similar benefits, and if you want one of the most comfortable seat pads available, look no further. Along with pockets for all of your gear and then some! If you are unsure which model is right for you, another option would be to get one that allows for the Kickstand but can remove the Kickstand when you don't think it will be needed. I have had the kickstand version for a few years now and have yet to keep the Kickstand in, but again, I don't have the need where I hunt. I hope to plan a few trips out west in the coming years, and I think the Kickstand could be a big help if I encounter some areas where trees are sparse or smaller.
If you are a mobile-style bowhunter, I think the Kickstand would be a great offering to sit comfortably and for long periods if needed. Having the vest and deployed Kickstand before the season would also give you plenty of time to practice while wearing it so you have reps and can work on some muscle memory that will help build the confidence needed to make the shot count.
I don't think you can go wrong with either vest. The number of pockets and storage they offer is second to none. I have been able to keep all my normal gear and then add some items that I normally wouldn't have as well. The back pocket is great for a decoy or, if successful, your bird! Check them out and pick from the TrueTimber Strata or TrueTimber Htc Green. Both are great colour options for any type of terrain you are hunting.

My name is Brian Cote, and I am originally from Stillwater, MN. I am a father of two young girls and have been married for going on five years to a very understanding wife during the hunting seasons. I have been involved in the outdoors since I could walk and haven’t looked back. I enjoy all kinds of hunting and fishing, but my true passion is chasing Turkeys. I also really enjoy cooking and coming up with new wild game recipes whenever I am successful.
A good rangefinder is a must for deer hunting in the woods, particularly if you are an archer. Though we can practice at guessing distances, when it comes down to arrowing a deer we have been chasing, or gauging whether a bull elk is within bow distance, we want to be certain we have the right yardage before we make that shot.
Unboxing of Tidewe Laser Rangefinder
The TideWe Laser Ragefinder HR-F700 right out of the box.
The TideWe Laser Rangefinder HR-F700 is a great rangefinder at an unbeatable price tag. Out of the box, I noticed the sturdy-built case that easily attaches to my belt with a lanyard. That lanyard can then be attached to the rangefinder making it easy to slip on one-handed so that you won't accidentally drop in the tree. The rangefinder is very compact and fits easily on my belt. The flap on the case is equipped with a strong magnetic button that keeps the rangefinder securely stowed, yet very easy to open one-handed when gaining access. The HR-F700 has accurate measurements out to 700 yards with fast measurements at <0.5 seconds. This rangefinder comes with 6x magnification for easily finding your target.
The HR-F700 comes with a sturdy case equipped with a strong magnetic button keeping the rangefinder securely stowed.
The HR-F700 comes with a sturdy case equipped with a strong magnetic button keeping the rangefinder securely stowed.
Strengths of Tidewe Laser Rangefinder
Upon removing the rangefinder from the case, I found it very lightweight, small, and it fits well in my hand. The HR-F700 comes with two buttons that are very easy to operate and change modes. Different modes available are straight-line vertical distance, horizontal distance for tree stands and other height difference situations, and speed to your target. A short press of the MODE button changes modes, while a long press of the MODE button switches from miles to kilometers. Holding down the power button will put the rangefinder in scan mode and report a continuous finding on whatever object you are currently scanning over.
Securing the rangefinder is also an easy task that can also be done one-handed with little to no trouble.
The HR-F700 Rangefinder was found easy to steady and focus with 6x magnification when tested in the field.
When put to the test in the field, the rangefinder was very easy to operate and produced very fast and accurate readings. The HR-F700 is very easy to steady and focus on your objective. On those longer distances or when the blood was pumping with excitement, quick help was available from my bow cam, or holding my hand next to the tree worked well as a great anchor point.
I found the scanning mode to be very helpful as well. When objects are moving, just hold down the power button and keep the crosshairs on it and it continuously reports the distance as it moves. Or if you have multiple objects, again, continue to hold down the power button and scan from one object to the other. This gives you the distance for each as it scans.
Both the position and functionality of the power and scan mode buttons made the rangefinder easy to operate.
I also enjoy the feature of the rechargeable battery that came with an easy and versatile USB-C cable for recharging. With the clear view of the battery charge indicator in the viewfinder, I found it very easy to recharge the battery when returning to the truck after the hunt by plugging it into a DC charger. This was a charger that I had on hand for charging my phone. Being able to charge this way helps ensure that the battery is charged and ready for the next hunt. No more worry about if the battery will make it through the season or not.
Weakness of Tidewe Laser Rangefinder
The only downfall of the HR-F700 is the LCD display. An OLED display offering color helps in extreme low-light situations where the black from the LCD can tend to fade and make it difficult to read. If that is extremely important to you, head over to truwildlife.com and check out the TideWe HD-700E which features the OLED display along with some other great features, but be prepared to pay a bit more for that model.
All in all, the HR-F700 is a great rangefinder at a very economical price. If you're looking for an entry-level laser rangefinder, this is worth the look. The model also comes with a 1000-yard option for just a small price increase if the extra yardage is important to you. Be sure and check this rangefinder out by visiting www.tidewe.com.

When you are in the outdoors enjoying yourself, you want to ensure that you have the right gear for the job. Whether you are hunting, fishing, or any endeavor that involves spending hours in the water, this becomes even more important. I recently had the opportunity to test out the Tidewe Breathable Waders, and I think I’ve found my new favorite piece of gear. If you are looking for a higher level of comfort, durability, and breathability without spending a fortune, then keep on reading!
The Tidewe breathable waders are a great option for hunters who want to get ready for waterfowl season and need something to keep them dry and comfortable. Regardless of what the weather does, having high-quality waders can make the difference between a successful hunt and a miserable one. The Tidewe breathable waders have impressed me, so let’s talk about them.
Let’s get started by breaking it down into the most important aspects of a good pair of waders:
Choose Comfort and Fit Breathable Waders
Easily, one of my favorite aspects of these waders is how incredibly comfortable they are right out of the box. Thanks to a lightweight design and breathable fabric, they allow you to stay comfortable for extended hours while out in the field. I never felt as though these waders restricted my movement in any way, and I never felt any pinching or discomfort from the fit. If you aren’t extremely comfortable or your waders fit wrong, you will not hunt as hard or stay as long. Thankfully, the Tidewe waders check both of these boxes.
Choose Durable, Breathable Waders
There’s no point in being comfortable if your hunting gear falls apart on you after only a few uses. Durability can be even more of a concern with waders, especially for those who regularly venture into rough or challenging terrain. I feel as though the Tidewe waders really shine in this department, and can easily stand up to whatever you throw at them. I took them through some really rough and nasty places during my testing, and they held up perfectly against abrasions, punctures, and hard use.
Breathability of Breathable Waders
These waders are advertised as being breathable, so it was very important to me to thoroughly test this out. I’m happy to report that the breathability of these things is an absolute game changer, especially during the warm seasons I’ve been using them in. I was very happy with how well they managed interior moisture and prevented me from getting too hot. They did an excellent job at keeping me dry from the inside out, all while ensuring I never felt too sweaty or hot, even when the sun was beating down.
Waterproof Breathable Waders
This one is short and easy. The whole point of waders is to keep the water out, so waders are worthless if they can’t perform this basic task. But again, these waders work as well as advertised, and I never had any holes, punctures, or seams let any water in at all. Even while wading through some pretty deep water and mud, I always stayed completely dry.
Features of Breathable Waders
I hate gear items that don’t fit right, but thankfully, I didn’t have any issues here. The Tidewe waders are easy to adjust with elastic shoulder straps and integrated belt loops to help customize the fit to your body type. Once I got the waders set up to my height and build, I’ve never had to readjust it since. When it comes to extra features and pockets, these waders blow the competition out of the water.
First, you have a waterproof phone pocket up top to keep your valuables safe and dry. From there, there is a zippered and velcro chest pocket that I found extremely roomy for storing calls and other hunting gear. From there, you have a fleece-lined pocket behind it to keep your hands warm. Oh, and don’t forget the shotgun shell holder. Loaded with features, these waders really cater to hunters who like organization and gear.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, the Tidewe breathable waders were a welcome addition to my hunting gear. While I primarily tested them out during the warmer months of the year, I couldn’t be happier with their overall comfort, durability, and breathability. These waders will now be my top choice for hunting waterfowl this year, and I cannot recommend them enough.
Whether you are a seasoned hunter or someone who is just getting their start, these waders would be a great investment when it comes to your gear. They will get the job done time and time again and will last you for years to come. So, if you’re ready to bring your hunting up to the next level and experience more comfort and durability than ever before, get yourself a pair of the Tidewe breathable waders!

Having a good pair of insulated hunting boots can truly make or break your hunting experience in the wild. As many hunters know, once your feet get cold, it's incredibly difficult to stay warm and comfortable, regardless of the amount of extra layers you have on your upper body or legs. Wet and cold feet could ruin your joys of hunting exploration.
TideWe's 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are quickly becoming one of the most popular products among serious hunters for a number of reasons. These boots have a reputation for outperforming the competition in various categories, and they also come at a price that is affordable for the average hunter.
Today, we'll review the TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots and discuss some of the best features and characteristics these boots have in comparison to other brands and similar products.
Overview
The TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are made with high-quality materials and constructed in a way that seals out cold air while keeping your feet at a comfortable, consistently warm temperature.
The TideWe Insulated Hunting Boots are made with 800-gram insulation, which helps prevent radiated body heat from escaping through the fabric of the boots or the seams where the soles and other parts are held together. These boots are made with 7mm neoprene material that's meant to retain heat better than most other hunting boot brands on the market today.
With this level of insulation and heat retention, the TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are capable of allowing hunters to remain comfortable in temperatures as low as -50 degrees Fahrenheit or -45 degrees Celsius. In addition to this ability, the TideWe Insulated Hunting Boots are also made to be 100 percent waterproof at all times.
Design
The TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are crafted with a functional design that's intended to perform in rugged environments. The upper section of these boots is made with neoprene material that is fully waterproof and capable of sealing in heat so that it doesn't escape. This neoprene is flexible and won't become stiff in extreme cold like some rubber material is known to do.
The insulation material of the TideWe Hunting Boots is created with 800-gram 3M Thinsulate Ultra material. This is an exceptional quality material that makes it possible for your feet to remain warm and dry without a great deal of extra weight.
The insulation works to keep your feet warm without adding excessive bulk, allowing for a solid fit and plenty of comfort when it comes to movement in the field. The TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are made with a reinforced rubber toe cap, as well as a sturdy rubber sole.
Comfort
There is no denying the fact that comfort is key when discussing a good pair of hunting boots. Many manufacturers of hunting boots know that users typically select products that won't require being "broken-in" by the hunter before they begin to enjoy optimal levels of comfort. TideWe have crafted these boots with comfort at the forefront of their minds, and it is clear to everyone who wears them for any length of time.
The soft neoprene upper portion helps to fit and conform to your calves and lower leg in a way that won't rub against your skin and cause blisters if you are wearing thin socks. This neoprene material is also made to stretch and flex your leg, which helps you avoid those common blisters on your lower calves.
On the back of each boot's upper section is an adjustable back gusset that features a cinch strap. This allows hunters to tighten or loosen this strap as needed to fit their legs. Having a loose boot will obviously lead to heat escaping much more rapidly, leading to cold feet in extreme conditions. Additionally, the TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots feature a moisture-wicking inner lining that effectively manages sweat to keep your feet dry and comfortable.
Warmth
The TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots offer exceptional warmth compared to other hunting boots that are sold at the same price range in many outdoor retailers and online markets. The 3M Thinsulate Ultra insulation material is unlike the more traditional, thick, and heavy substance that boot manufacturers have relied on for decades to keep hunters' feet warm and dry.
The brand boasts that these boots are rated for temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit or -10 degrees Celsius. The TideWe Insulated Hunting Boots are fully capable of keeping your feet warm throughout the day when hunting in freezing or even sub-zero conditions. In addition to wearing the TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots throughout the frigid winter months, these boots are also great for mild temperatures during the early spring.
Durability
The TIDEWE 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are built to withstand the rigors of extreme conditions in the wilderness. These boots offer a neoprene upper, and rubber soles are both very resistant to abrasion and also provide excellent protection against sharp objects or anything else you might encounter in the wild.
The reinforced rubber toe cap helps protect the front of the boot, which is known to wear out long before any other part of the boot usually does. This toe cap helps guard against consistent impacts with rocks and debris. The boots' construction is solid and unyielding, and there have been no reports of the seams splitting or the insulation material coming apart inside the boot.
The soles feature deep, forward-moving treads that provide outstanding traction on just about any type of surface. These boots have been thoroughly tested in everything from mud and snow to slippery rocks.
Scent Control
Another major concern for many big game hunters is a boot's ability to control their body scent. Our feet are often one of the strongest-smelling parts of our body, and we can unknowingly leave behind scent by wearing poor-quality boots. TideWe is one of the brands in the hunting industry that is taking extra steps to ensure that your scent stays at a minimum while you are making your way through the woods.
One of the features that help control your scent is a removable, anti-odor insole. This is a significant advantage for maintaining freshness during extended hunting trips, as you can remove the insole and allow it to dry. Many hunters choose to spray these insoles with scent control spray before allowing them to fully dry as an added measure.
Summary
With all of these factors considered, the TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are one of the more appealing products on the market today when it comes to hunting footwear. These boots are specially designed with an emphasis on exactly what hunters want and need when they are in the field. The design and functionality of these boots are well-thought-out and have obviously been rigorously tested by myself and other experts. The TideWe 800g Insulated Hunting Boots are perfect for hunters or anyone looking for a reliable, long-lasting pair of boots for all kinds of outdoor activities.

Staying warm when you’re in the outdoors is key to your performance when it comes to hunting or other activities. Many outdoor clothing manufacturers have developed various kinds of heat-insulated fabrics that help seal in warmth and prevent users from getting too cold to successfully shoot and harvest the game animal they’re after.
In this article, we’ll cover the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest and discuss its many features and benefits to help you decide if this product is something you want to add to your hunting gear arsenal.
TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest Overview
The TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest operates using a battery pack that works to heat the vest in the front near the bottom, as well as the back at the top section. This heated vest helps users stay extra warm, even when hunting in frigid temperatures that are well below freezing. The vest has four specific heating chambers, with one on each side of the front lower section that allows users to place their hands inside the vest’s pockets, as well as another that helps maintain your overall body heat across your shoulder blade area.
The vest comes with a remote which allows users to set the heating level that they feel most comfortable with. TideWe’s Heated Hunting Vest features three different heat selections that make it possible for hunters to lower or raise the vest’s electronic heat however they choose. The vest is made with high polyester lining, which helps keep the heat pack areas from becoming too hot. The rest of the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest is made of fleece material, which is ideal for any outdoor occasion.
Heated Hunting Vest with Cozy-4 Heating Zones
The vest features four different heating zones that all combine to help users maintain their core body temperature despite being outside in extreme cold. Each Cozy-4 heating chamber is specifically placed to provide users with the right level of heat in specific areas where our bodies often release the most heat, which usually causes us to lose vital heat that we need to maintain a comfortable temperature underneath our clothing.
One of the most common areas of the body to lose blood circulation (and heat) first is our hands and feet. Assuming the user is wearing properly insulated boots or other footwear, the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest provides ideal hand placement inside the front lower warming chambers where hand pockets are conveniently located.
This makes it possible for you to place your hands inside the vest’s pockets and adjust the heat to an ideal level to maintain blood flow and heat in your hands. Every hunter knows that keeping your hands warm is essential to your overall performance in the outdoors. Having cold, stiff hands makes it extremely difficult to take an accurate shot with firearms or archery equipment. Keeping your hands warm and cozy with the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest lets you stay warm and comfortable until you have to remove your hands to prepare for the shot.
Smart Temperature Control in Heated Hunting Vest
Most other brands that offer heated vests or jackets typically have just one heat setting. This setting can often become too hot or not hot enough in many different scenarios, leaving the user very little control over how warm they want their body and hands to be when enjoying outdoor activities. The Smart Temperature Control on the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest features three adjustable heat settings, which can be changed with the push of a button.
The light on the Smart Temperature Control device changes colors to indicate which heat level setting you’re currently using. Blue indicates the lowest setting, and white means the temperature is on the ‘medium’ setting. Users will quickly be able to discern when the vest is set to ‘high’ heat as this light will be red.
This Smart Temperature Control device can be stored inside a pocket on the front upper left section of each TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest. This easy-to-access pocket allows you to quickly and easily reach the device and adjust the heat setting without making too much movement, which is incredibly useful for hunters who must remain as still as possible in order to not scare away game animals.
Battery Life of Heated Hunting Vest
One of the most common questions associated with the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest is in regards to battery life. How long will the battery last, especially in freezing-cold outdoor situations?
Each vest and battery pack is designed to last up to 10 working hours in any situation. This should be more than enough time for most hunters to sit and hunt in frigid conditions. Of course, the vest can be powered ‘off’ in order to conserve battery power, which allows users to extend the length of time they can use the vest while hunting or taking part in any other outdoor activity. The 10 working hours are based on continuous use of the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest at the ‘low’ heat setting.
Each vest’s battery pack is rechargeable and can be fully charged in roughly 3 to 4 hours. When the battery is placed on ‘quick charge,’ the vest can charge to a usable level within just two hours, but this quick charge setting will not provide 10 hours of continuous battery use. The vest can be used continuously for about 5.5 hours when set on the ‘medium’ heat level and offers 3 hours of continuous use when set on the ‘high’ setting.
This ‘low’ power setting typically reaches only 100 degrees Fahrenheit, while the ‘medium’ is capable of reaching 113 degrees. The ‘high’ power setting makes it possible for the vest to reach temperatures of up to 131 degrees Fahrenheit and should only be used in extreme conditions to maintain optimal warmth. Once the temperature reaches beyond 131 degrees, the battery pack will automatically shut off as a means of preventing burns to the user.
Each battery pack comes with 2 USB chargers and can be charged using any standard USB charge port.
Fabric of Heated Hunting Vest
Each of the TideWe Heated Hunting Clothing is made of high-quality fleece lining material that helps lock in body heat and maintain your overall body warmth without losing heat. This fleece material is somewhat breathable, which also helps to prevent users from sweating and risking the potential for hypothermia in most situations. The pockets on each front lower section are lined with high-quality polyester material that is ideal for sealing in warmth and preventing the user’s hands from getting too hot inside the heated pockets.
The exterior of the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest is crafted with the same high-quality polyester fabric that locks in heat while also providing great durability at the same time. This polyester fabric is great for use in rugged outdoor conditions as the vest is less likely to develop rips and tears that will decrease its ability to maintain body heat.
Ideal for Warmth in the Outdoors
The TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest is perfect for just about any outdoor occasion, as well as frigid indoor use. This vest can be worn by anyone who works inside a climate-controlled environment, such as freezers or outdoor settings that expose users to extreme cold conditions for extended periods.
You can feel comfortable and stylish wearing the TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest, as the brand offers this product in both camo patterns as well as a solid black coloring that is more appropriate for workwear or casual attire for hockey games and other activities.
The TideWe Men’s Heated Hunting Vest provides the perfect alternative for users who want the assurance that their gear will keep them warm in the field. The vest is made with high-quality fabric and long-lasting battery life to keep you warm and allow you to focus on the hunt.

Most hunters don’t consider using hunting blinds in their overall hunting strategy because they are too heavy and bulky and can significantly limit your field of view in the woods. TideWe’s See Through Hunting Blind is a true game-changer when compared to other products as it brings many new advantages to the table without the usual limitations of ground blind hunting.
Having a good hunting blind is extremely valuable in helping hunters develop a solid hunting strategy for the season. In this article, we’ll explore some of the benefits and advantages the TideWe See Through Hunting Blind offers and help you decide if this product is something you should add to your hunting gear arsenal this season.
Overview of the TideWe See Through Hunting Blind
The TideWe See Through Hunting blind is a one-of-a-kind product that can be used in a variety of both big game and small game hunting scenarios. When set up, it stands at a height of 65 inches while the floor space measures 58 x 58 inches. There is enough space to allow a seated or crouched hunter to draw a bow, and it could potentially hold 2 or 3 hunters inside with room to spare.
It features a pop-up design that can be fully set up in roughly 3 minutes or less. The TideWe See Through Hunting Blind also features 3 noise-free sliding windows that allow a hunter to position themselves to make a shot in either direction. Sitting in the blind, hunters will have a 270-degree unobstructed field of view. The best feature of this product is obviously the blind’s see-through camo design that allows you to see everything that’s happening in your surroundings while remaining totally concealed from the eyes of wildlife.
Setup and Takedown
One of the most important aspects of hunting with a ground blind is the ease with which you’re able to set up or take down the blind in the field. The TideWe See Through Hunting Blind weighs just under 14 pounds, making it easy to pack along with your other gear into the wild. For turkey hunting and other outdoor activities that require frequent position changes, this blind is perfectly suited to allow you to reposition yourself for the best opportunity at harvesting your game animal.
I was able to set up the blind in just 3 minutes, but once you become familiar with the product, it’s likely that you’ll be able to fully set this blind up in around 2 minutes. The pop-up style setup makes it extremely simple and easy to handle instead of the traditional blind setup that requires hunters to erect poles and take time situating the fabric around them.
See Through Material of the Hunting Blinds
Many hunters ask,“Is the TideWe See Through Hunting Blind actually see-through?”
The short answer is yes. Not only is this fabric see-through, but it is also breathable and can allow air to flow into the blind, keeping you cool on warm days without feeling like you’re trapped in a sauna. Most hunters are pleasantly surprised at the level at which they are able to see through the fabric when sitting inside this blind.
“Can you shoot through the mesh on the TideWe See Through Hunting Blind?”
Yes, you can take a shot through the mesh material that makes up this hunting blind just like you can with more traditional blinds made with similar see-through fabric. The main difference is that hunters will have a much better ability to see through this blind’s fabric and spot movement in areas where they would usually have a blind spot.
For bowhunters, shooting through the mesh fabric is possible, but it’s a good idea to practice this with the broadhead and arrow setup you plan to use before going into the field on your hunt. In the event that you want to make a clean, unobstructed shot, you can simply peel the fabric down on each window section, which provides hunters with plenty of space to aim their bow or gun and make an ethical shot at their target animal.
The exterior camo pattern blends into the forest around it with relative ease, making it possible to remain hidden from the early season all the way into the winter months when foliage is sparse on the trees. Loops along the outside of the fabric make it very easy to “brush in” your blind as you see fit to make it blend in with your surroundings as best as possible. If you choose, you can slide limbs and brush into these loops along the bottom to further camouflage your position.
Interior Space
I had plenty of space inside the blind to turn and aim a rifle or shotgun without feeling like I needed to worry about knocking the side of the blind with my gun. The TideWe See Through Hunting Blind stands at 65 inches in height when it’s set up, allowing hunters to freely move around inside without being cramped for space.
Bowhunters should find this product especially useful as you have plenty of room to draw your bow and shoot without getting your gear hung on any part of the blind. The 58 x 58 inches of floor space makes it possible for 2 or even 3 adult hunters to be comfortably seated in the blind.
This is conducive for hunters who want to bring a buddy into the field or for a camera person and guide to accompany a hunter. In my opinion, there is enough room for a tripod and camera to be set up while still allowing the hunter to wield their gun or bow as needed.
Weatherproofing
As you might imagine, the see-through fabric on this blind is not thick enough to block high winds or heavy rain. However, it does provide enough protection between you and the elements so that hunters will feel comfortable sitting inside for a few hours, even in inclement weather.
The TideWe See Through Hunting Blind is constructed out of durable, yet breathable fabric. It also comes with a strong metal hub that connects all of the sides and makes it possible to use this pop-up blind in a variety of environments. The corners of the blind are reinforced to maintain structural integrity and ensure that the sides of the blind will remain still and in place–even in strong winds.
Noise Control
One of the main concerns hunters have when using a blind is to what extent the fabric will produce noise. This is not something you’ll have to worry about when it comes to opening the entrance of the blind or any of its three windows because each one can be opened or closed without any sound at all. The zipper on the entrance is very quiet when used slowly, so be careful not to get into a hurry getting in or out of the blind when you’re trying to remain concealed.
Packing and Carrying
The TideWe See Through Hunting Blind weighs about 14 pounds and can be carried along with your other gear items with relative ease in most cases. It comes with four ropes that allow you to secure the blind to any nearby trees or brush in the blind for extra camouflaging. The blind also comes with eight down stakes, which should be used to prevent movement in high winds or when you want to ensure that any accidental touching of the blind from the inside won’t create a great deal of movement.
The TideWe See Through Hunting blind can be tightly packaged and placed inside its black carrying case. I’ve found that the blind can be packed along with most hunting backpacks for optimal storage and to allow your hands to handle your weapon on long hikes to and from your hunting position. This blind is the perfect item for hunters who want to quickly and significantly conceal their position on the ground when hunting deer, turkey, elk, and other game animals.

One may first see this and think, "Hunting clothes are hunting clothes. What else can you say?" However, when we look at TideWe's hunting clothes, there are definite points to make.
The Unboxing of TideWe Hunting Clothes
Right out of the box, my first impression of both pants and jacket was the toughness and quality that I've often associated with big-name, high-dollar brands that I have been unwilling to pay the price to own. Finally, a brand willing to not sacrifice quality at a price affordable to the average hunter! With all of the expenses that go along with hunting, the average hunter like me has to be picky in choosing the right gear, with the right quality that will last, at the right price. Hunting clothes is one area in which I have refused to pay the price of high-end brands. I'm not saying they are not good quality, but for the average hunter, most high-end brands were designed for a ruggedness that average hunters don't need. Yes, I will one day pay the price for some good, lightweight clothing when gearing up for a western elk hunt. But until that day arrives, there is no need for the investment into high-end clothing where an individual is forking out over $150 - just for a pair of pants! Now, thanks to TideWe, you don't have to! You can get the same quality at a very affordable price!
The quality of the TideWe Hunting Clothes is comparable to high-end brands.
Characteristics of TideWe Hunting Clothes
Comfortable
TideWe hunting clothes have a comfort level you would expect to find in high-end clothing.
True-to-size is a very important factor since most of us do our fair share of shopping online, making purchases without trying them on.
The adjustable cuffs ensure a good fit in the coat, while the belt loops also provide a great fit for the pants by adding any standard-size belt.
I found the outer shell of the clothes to be sheer - enabling you to keep stickers and weed seeds from being picked up when out in the field - yet quiet. Often, with the sheerness of inexpensive clothing comes noise. This was not the case with the TideWe hunting clothes. That in itself was something that caused these clothes to stand out from other brands at this price point.
The adjustable cuffs are a welcoming addition to ensure a tight fit, keeping sleeves in place and the elements out.
Waterproof
Along with the comfort, TideWe clothing also sheds water at an amazing rate, keeping me dry should I get caught in an unexpected shower or a trip to the blind to catch that buck moving right after a rain.
Warm but not bulky
The TideWe hunting clothes were surprisingly warm without the bulkiness often accompanying inexpensive brands at the same price point. Which is a selling feature found only in higher-priced brands, in my experience. These clothes are definitely something that can get you through much of the fall and early winter hunting season with no worries about getting cold. Coupled with a heated vest layered inside, I would see no problem with the capability of these clothes to get me through a full season of hunting in the Ozarks and other sub-zero climates.
TideWe jacket gives quick access to your rangefinder with a magnetic pocket and bungee attachment cord.
Useful with plenty of pockets
The hunting clothes have a wide range of pockets, enabling you to keep useful hunting gear, such as range finder, calls, and the like, close to you with easy access at all times. Something that other clothes often lack at the price point the TideWe hunting clothes come in.
Summary
Overall, the TideWe hunting clothes are a major contender, not just at their comparable price advantage, but also to other high-end brands. Check out TideWe Hunting Clothes on truwildlife.com or TideWe.com as you prepare for the season.

It’s no secret in the hunting community that a good pair of insulated waders will often cost nearly as much as a gun these days. However, TideWe is an up-and-coming brand producing exceptionally good quality waders in recent years for a fraction of the price that other brands cost.
Everyone wants to know the same thing,“Are TideWe Hunting Waders a good product?”
In this article, I’ll give my honest, hands-on review of the TideWe Hunting Waders and discuss some of the features and benefits you can expect to get with this product. Based on the information I’ll provide, you should be able to decide whether you want to give the TideWe Hunting Waders a try or pursue another product.
Overview
TideWe is a relatively new company that was founded in 2017. The company headquarters is located in Wisconsin, where their products are designed, and it’s clear to those who use TideWe products for the first time–this company offers impressive quality products at a price that’s often less than half of what other brands cost.
The TideWe Hunting Waders are designed to function as a pair of waders that keep users warm and dry in various outdoor activities. These chest waders are specially designed for waterfowl hunting and can be purchased in the all-new Realtree MAX5 camo pattern. The TideWe Hunting Waders are also a product that both male and female customers can wear. Depending on their personal needs or preferences, they may order these chest waders in either 600g or 800g neoprene insulation.
Features of TideWe Hunting Waders
Durability
The TideWe Hunting Waders offer a surprising amount of toughness and durability compared to other products in the same relative price range. These waders are constructed from 3.5 mm neoprene material on the upper section combined with a poly/jersey shell and stretch liner material for extra flexibility. Each of the edges along the TideWe Hunting Waders is fitted with triple-finished seams that are also glued and taped for added durability.
The TideWe Hunting Waders offer incredible toughness. Hunters and anglers can crouch or move any way they need during their hunt without worrying about these waders splitting apart along the outside edge or in other sections that are typically worn out more easily when it comes to regular use.
I am not always easy on gear, and after ripping through a few briars and kicking my way through some ice in the duck pond, these waders are still holding up well. However, the waders also come with a small repair kit if you do manage to poke a hole in yours.
Waterproofing
One of the most obvious concerns that users have when choosing a pair of hunting or fishing chest waders is the quality of the waterproofing material used in the construction of the product. The TideWe Hunting Waders are made with premium quality material that is actually comparable to some of the more highly sought-after brands on the market today.
The TideWe Hunting Waders feature armor weld, double-stitched, and sealed seams that help prevent leaks from forming, especially in areas where more bending and movement often occurs. Chest waders often develop leaks in the knee sections and along the seating area due to increased movement, stretching, and flexing while in use. TideWe product designers developed these waders based on many hours of research and testing to ensure that customers would not experience the same frustrating leaks and issues that often happen with other budget-friendly chest waders.
The legging portion of the TideWe Hunting Waders is coated with polyurethane material to provide an added layer of waterproofing that will seal water and moisture out and maintain dryness inside the waders. Having used these waders on numerous hunting and fishing trips, I can attest to the outstanding quality they provide when it comes to keeping you dry. I’ve spent upwards of 6 hours at a time duck hunting in flooded timber without ever experiencing one drop of water seeping through the seams or any other part of the TideWe Hunting Waders.
Insulation
Another main concern users have when choosing a pair of affordable chest waders is the warmth they can provide when used in cold water. TideWe offers this product in either 600g or 800g neoprene insulation, which is typically enough material to keep users warm in cold but not frigid conditions.
The 600g neoprene material TideWe Hunting Waders is more favorable for hunters who want to have a slightly lighter feel for hunting or fishing. However, the 800g option is much more ideal for hunting in cold-weather conditions as it will provide an extra amount of insulation that helps maintain your body’s warmth and prevent the typical effects associated with neoprene waders.
Rubber Boots
The TideWe Hunting Waders are made with 3M Thinsulate ultra insulation that runs from below the waist downward through the rubber boot. This ensures that your feet won’t be susceptible to getting cold when spending long hours in the duck blind or a cold-water mountain stream fishing for trout. I’ve never had a hunting or fishing trip when these chest waders let me down in terms of warmth in my lower body and feet.
The tread on the TideWe Hunting Waders boots is thick and features a rugged pattern for better traction when walking through muddy terrain, creeks, and rivers. These boots make you feel balanced when standing or walking in or out of water. The TideWe Hunting Waders boots also offer a reinforced shoe vamp along the side and bottoms for added puncture protection.
I’ve found the tread on the TideWe Hunting Waders to be more than adequate for gaining my footing when going uphill along wet or muddy areas. Taking these waders off is also no problem, thanks to the protruding rubber curves positioned on each heel that make it possible to kick your feet out of each boot quickly and easily.
Adjustability and Features
One of the major concerns that users often have when it comes to a good pair of chest waders for waterfowl hunting or fishing is adjustability and getting a comfortable fit. The TideWe Hunting Waders allows users to adjust each shoulder strap to fit just right. The shoulder section on each suspender strap is padded to allow extra comfort instead of having the strap dig into your shoulders as you walk.
The TideWe Hunting Waders also feature a user-friendly design with a quick-drain chest hand-warmer pocket that you can slip your hands into when you need to keep warm and dry. Below this pocket is a shell pouch with six shotgun shell loops or easy shell storage that allows you to quickly reload when time is of the essence.
Accessories
You can also use the belt to tighten the waistline as much as needed and keep water from making its way into your waders if you slip or go under. The TideWe Hunting Waders also come with a waterproof pouch and lanyard that easily fits any standard-size cell phone and keeps contents completely dry while hunting or fishing.
Each order of the waders contains extra repair materials if you get a hole or tear in the waders. This includes extra camo cloth and glue that can easily be cut to size and glued on to quickly repair any damage.
Conclusion
The TideWe Hunting Waders are an incredible deal that will have much of the same fit and performance you might expect in a product that costs significantly more. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly product for your hunting and fishing adventures, the TideWe Hunting Waders are a great choice that will out-match the competition and provide you with all the features and capabilities you need in the field. So far, my pair haven’t let me down, and I will be using them again this upcoming season!

Hunting clothes has evolved a ton since I was a kid, and evolving with them definitely has major advantages. One of those advantages is added comfort and staying warm in frigid weather. TideWe's heated vest is one of those ways you can upgrade your gear to stay warm on those late-season hunts.
The Unboxing of the Heated Vest
Upon unboxing the TideWe Heated Vest, as always with TideWe, the vest came well packaged. I was impressed by the quality of design that went into the vest. It was light, not too thick and bulky, and attractive. The versatile color option of both camo and black makes it something that I could not only wear hunting but also to other casual outdoor events.
When trying on the vest, I found it to fit very well. It was true to size and very comfortable. The vest felt warm yet not too bulky.
With plenty of storage pockets, this has enough storage for the battery powering the heater, a range finder, a phone, or even additional devices that can be both stored and charged.
Heating and Battery System
The vest is equipped with an easy-to-access button to turn on the heat, with the ability to select different heating levels for just the right comfort and warmth. The button displays a different color to signify whether the current heating level is low, medium, or high, making it simple to tell which heating level is active.
The vest is equipped with an easily accessible button that turns the heater on and off, and you can select the level of heat you wish for added comfort and warmth with a low-medium-high selection.
The battery used to power the heater is built into the vest and is very easy to access for recharging. The battery has a very convenient digital LED display that tells you how much life the battery has left. The battery can also double as a charger for your phone or other devices. The convenient pockets can store your devices while they are being charged.
The TideWe Heated Vest has an easy-to-access and easy-to-charge battery that doubles as a charging station for your phone or other devices.
I also enjoy the rechargeable battery feature with an easy and versatile USB-C cable for recharging. With the clear view of the battery charge level displayed, I found it easy to recharge the battery when returning to the truck after the hunt by plugging it into a DC-to-AC charger. This was a charger that I had on hand for charging my phone. Being able to charge this way helps ensure that the battery is charged and ready for the next hunt.
Highly Useful in Late-Season Hunts
The TideWe Heated Vest is useful in fall hunts and late-season hunts because the area I hunt is not immune to frigid-cold temperatures. Simply layering the vest under another coat can help insulate and lock in the heat from this coat to provide added protection against the cold. With the heating elements in front, on your back, and your neck, the vest helps keep your core warm. When my core is warm, my feet and hands stay warmer longer when exposed to the elements.
Overall
In summary, the TideWe Heated Vest is an advancement in technology worth checking out. Added to your arsenal, it can keep you out there longer, giving you an added advantage to bagging your game on your hunt.
